Humble new here, TTC after 2 losses

Hello there! I'm new to the forums and am glad to have found a ttc board. I'm 24 yrs. old married to a wonderful man named Dan. We had a miscarriage 1-1-02 and just last Dec. we lost our darling Alexis at 23 wks. to a stillbirth. It has been so hard to deal with losing her, but we have finally made it to the point where we are ready to try again. And that, we have....tried a lot! lol! I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better as we share this adventure, sometimes sad/hard as it is, in conceiving. =)

Hi danzlove82

Welcome to FC!

I am sorry to hear of your loss. You have picked a wonderful place to come for support. I can understand the roller coaster emotions that you are experiencing. We tried for 4 yrs before conceiving my daughter.

If you need a shoulder to lean on, you can talk my ear off on here or you can email me or PM too.

Give yourself a break and look around the other parts of the message boards here at FC. There are many fun places to take your mind off of things for a little while. Jump on in and start posting....we are a bunch of really friendly people!!

I hope to talk with you more.......

Tami

Hi Danzlove82 and welcome to FC.

Having had several miscarriages myself I can sympathize with you. We tried 4 years before having our son, who was suppose to have had a twin (but was lost in 1st trimester) and then another 4 years and more miscarriages before our dd.

As the others have said feel free to visit the other threads, talk to any of us individually and ask any questions.

Ashley, it must be frustrating and depressing to lose 2. Do the doctors say anything as to the whys? I wonder if the fact that you carried the second child further than the first means furture success? Either way, I wish you success in the future and sympathy for the 2 you lost.

Ashley my heart goes out to you..There is nothing worse than losing a child no matter what age..
I heard years ago that relaxing and not thinking about the "trying" makes it easier to conceive...something to do with the stress factor..not sure how true it is but it is worth a try...

Ashley so sorry to hear of your losses. It is tough to lose a baby at any time during a pregnancy. I lost 4 before I had my 3 children. Turned out my utereus was incompetent so they made sure to watch me carefully when i finally did conceive. After the 4th we tried and tried to get pregnant.....eventually I gave up and figured we were just not meant to have children....well shortly after I was shocked to find out I was indeed expecting......he is now 12 years old and we had 2 others after that. I am sure it will happen for you too!!

Big Grin thank you and some good news!

I thank you all for the kindness and support you have shown me already. I have some surprising, yet wonderful news to share with you all. I found out this very morning that I'm pregnant. I'm excited and still in shock as I really wasn't expecting to be this time around. Please pray for this pregnancy to end well with a live, happy and healthy baby in our arms.

Congratulations!!! Will your doctors keep a closer watch on you this time??? In Canada you would be considered high risk and would see a specialist. I will keep you in prayer that everything goes well this pregnancy
