backyard camping

We go camping in our backyard at least twice a year. We, too, live in the country so safety is not an issue. We have a great time; load up the wagon with sleeping bags, tent, pillows, hot dogs, marshmallows, etc. We build a campfire and eat then either just sit around and talk or play games.

It's so fun! Our children are a little young yet to want to stay out there by themsleves.

We've had so much fun, in fact, that this summer we are planning to have a couple of other familes join us (for only one campout). The other times will be just for us.

It's nice to get up the next morning, fix breakfast outside, then head indoors with all the comforts of home.

Even our dog has fun on our "adventures."

Our Black lab goes camping with us no matter where we camp! She sleeps right outside my tent door and I always feel safe!

She gets so excited when she sees us bring out the camping gear!

We do camp in our backyard, because the kids are toddlers we stay out with them. It is fun.

In fact, today it is 30 degrees F and my daughter told me she wants to camp out tonight. I told her it was much to cold and that we would do it in the summer. Her reaction was !!

We do have fun when we camp, whether it's in the backyard or away.
