Greeting cards without envelopes

Over the years I have accumulated a number of greeting cards without envelopes. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to make envelopes. Kathryn

Can you just fold paper over the edges so they overlap then glue or tape them? Might be easier to put the card on an angle to the paper.
I just tried this and it works-unless you have a huge greeting card.

I had some of these envelope-less cards and thought about making my own envelopes too, but then I had an idea. I went to my local Hallmark store and asked if they had extra envelopes that they sell. I bought a huge number of envelopes, all different sizes for a couple of dollars! I now have too many envelopes for cards!

You may want to try this!

In a pinch I have wrapped something to mail with a cut up brown paper bag that I got after shopping to fit what I was mailing, wrote the address on it to where it was to be mailed to with my return address on it. I took it to the Post Office to weigh it & believe it or not they actually mailed it. lololol
Now that's frugal!!

I make (& sell) envelopes out of scrapbook paper.

You can find lots of creative ways to make envies...

leftover wallpaper, heavy stock wrapping paper...

You can make envelopes out of used or new calendars, or road maps. You could just cut the backs off the cards and turn the fronts into postcards, postage would be cheaper that way.
