chuckle butter tubs

When I'm done with my butter tubs I clean them and reuse them as planters. I decorate the outside of them of course. I punch out drainage holes in the bottom.
I've been doing this for years and the other day my husband told me I should post this. The more I thought about it the more I thought he might be right.
I use smaller tubs for smaller plants and to grow herbs. LOLOL

Happy face

Good idea, especially for growing herbs. Do you keep then in your kitchen, so they'll be handy when you need them.......

Hi Happy6, yes I do keep the smaller containers I use to grow my herbs in my kitchen where it's handy to reach.
My daughter likes to decorate them.

I use stawberry and tomatoe clear trays for starting seed. Act like a mini green house getting my seedling up.

Sandy do you use your tubs for other things? Let's hear what others use tubs for........I store clothes pins in the large tubs.....Also keep my marigold seeds in them for the following year......

Ice cream tubs

I reuse the tubs that I buy ice cream in with the handles on them to store my clothes pins. Real handy to carry the tub outside by the handle to hang up our wet clothes to dry out on the line.

I also use the butter tubs to store bologna and other round shaped sandwich meat. The kids are never resealing the bags the meat come in & it goes bad. Not anymore! No more wasteing food that way.
