Any ideas how to stop this??? (kinda gross question)

I don't want to get all gross here, but I need help getting my DS to keep his hands out of his pants. He keeps giving himself what I call "plummers butt" (where his crack shows over the top of the diaper), and he won't keep his hands out of it. I have woken up twice to my DD saying that he's eating poop. (and he was twice)... and it's happening more often, and I don't want him to get himself seriously sick with this kind of behaviour.

I can't seem to stop him. I shout at him to get his hands out of his pants (when I catch him) and he breaks out in tears and throws a tanrtum. I just don't know what to do.

Anybody have this problem before, and if nobody is willing to admit it..*smile*. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get him to quit. (or things I can do to stop this.)

Thanks... I'm sorry it was kinda gross.
Row.

DS is 15 months.

My best advice would be to put him in ONE PIECE type outfits, or "onesie" shirts that snap underneath. Then he can't get into his waistband. He will be mad, though!
He WILL get over it. Eventually.
But all you can do is limit his access to the waistband of his diaper.

I'm with Barbszy--my dgs is 2 and won't keep his diaper on half the time. I duck tape it on and use a onesie. It works like a charm!
