Dora & Diego

My daughter absolutely loves Dora and Diego!

I don't mind her watching these shows because she is learning from them at the same time. She is 3 and can count to 15 in English and 10 in Spanish.

She was walking with her Daddy the other day and said "Vamanos! Daddy!" and he had no idea what she was saying.

I found the perfect Dora backpack for her in May for her BD. I didn't think that she was going to even use it until a couple of weeks ago. She plays with it constantly now. She walks around the house pretending to be Dora.

She likes Diego because they get to go on adventures. She is learning about animals and doesn't even realize it yet.

From what I've read, we are going to be bombarded with Diego stuff at Christmastime. I have seen more and more stuff showing up here.

Any other Dora and Diego groupies out there?

I have come to realize that they are the new age Barney--I think that you either like them or hate them. There doesn't seem to be a happy medium--at least with parents. lol!!

shocking Dora

My 3yr.old granddaughter watches Dora and has also learned a lot from this show, she really enjoys watching it! My 5 year old grandson also loves this show. It is a very educational show and it's also a good show for the imagination of young children.

my daughters love it! I like that it encourages participation and imagination. Of course, too much of a good thing is still too much. . .but they like it and I don't mind it. The last time we were at Borders, we found a magazine that was all Diego. It had great (easy) activities and cut outs and I was amazed at how easily my 3 year old retained the names of the animals. Not just names like "cow" and "dog" but names like "red eyed tree frog" and "****atiel" and "hump-backed whale" and "three toed lemur".
mom of 4 great kids!

My almost 6yo dd loves dora. She also loves to yell "swiper, no swiping", and I like the participation the kids can do with them. I let her watch it every weekend, (we dont have cable or satelite, so she has to wait until it is on). Thinking of buying her a dora video for Christmas. She has also learned alot from them. Last year she recieved a Dora story book with about 10 (?) stories and we read one out of there every night at bedtime.
