Super-Active Kid

My 2 year old has always been extremely active (even before birth! I should have known then what I was getting into!)

I just don't have the energy to keep up with him all day. He goes from one place to another getting into things, climbing things, exploring everything....the house is practically "locked down" to keep him out of stuff he shouldn't be into.

Now DH wants to think about summer vacation

We have 2 other children ages 8 and 12 and they are really good sports about the little guy but I don't want him to ruin everything for them.

I wish I could figure out how to calm Luke down by August....it's getting to the point where I even dread a trip to the supermarket I hardly go to the library with the kids anymore, because I spend the time chasing Luke. I pick and choose my outings very carefully, trying to figure out which will be Luke-friendly.

WOW, I thought you were writing about me!
Only difference is my dd#2 is almost 4; #1 will be 13 in a few mos.
Good news is that she seems to be growing out of her rowdiness stage going 100mph all the time. Preschool has helped for sure. I was on fertility meds so maybe thats what our issue is...
We always joke that she is really a boy but in a dress. Mud puddles, bugs, learned to climb the fence at age 2, and OY the temper !
Any trip we make over 2 hrs in the car comes with a traveling tv/vcr. That is the one thing that consistantly works.
Dd#1 sometimes has patience with her, but mostly when they are doing something she enjoys. They bicker alot, but that may be the pms issue on the horizon. Dh is so looking forward to that-not
He wants a bathroom and extra fridge (not together) in the basement so he can hibernate downstairs when all 3 of us pms'ing at the same time. *LOL*
