Car Wash

Do you go to the car wash or wash your own?

I take our car to the car wash. Mostly because I hate cleaning a car! I am only 5' 2" and I find it really difficult to reach the top of the car and the back window. I think the car wash does a better job than I do! I also wonder about all the soap going down the storm sewer. I watched a show on T.V. a few years ago that indicated that this practice wasn't good for fish or waterways. I can convince myself that I am helping the environment by not washing my own car!

I do both....depending on my schedule and how dirty my car has gotten!

Right now, keeping the car clean is a daunting task. It is sugar cane harvesting season here. There are tractors coming out of the fields and onto the roads with mud all over their tires! When it rains it is really a mess on the roads! It will be like this until mid-January. Until then, I will be [U]trying] to do a mini-wash on my car every other day or so and do a good wash on it every weekend.

I take my car to the carwash -- one of my few indulgences! This carwash is supposedly economically friendly. It uses very little water (but more water pressure) and recycles water in the first wash. The car wash guys are also very nice (not cute, but nice!).

Use to do both car wash/ wash at home, but since moving to AZ recently - we stop in at the car-wash(s) around here and help keep others employed.

Since we only have one car wash and it is just basically a hose (lol) I don't even fool with going! I have gone simple... I let the rain wash my cars! lol Since our road is gravel and all of our drive the dust is a daily thing so washing the car could be a daily thing!

WE use the hose to knock the dust and pollen off the car and go to the wash when we need to get the road salt out from underneath and put a protective light wax on the car

I usually wash my car at home - actually did that on Saturday. Sometimes dh will take his or my car to the car wash but most of the time I just do it myself at home.
