I would use the Oxyclean too....it really does a good job on stains...and, leaving it to soak is a great idea!! It won't "eat" holes in clothes like bleach can. Give it a try....it's your best bet.

Cardboard contains acid, so if the stain was allowed to set for an extended period of time, the stain will be permanent.

Acid staining, which is the result paper or cardboard storing, will not come out.

Whenever I store old things (clothing) I wrap in an old towel or blanket before boxing.
