Question Laundry Question....What do you pre-treat with?

What brand pre-treater do you pre-fer?

I have tried SprayNWash and Shout and Biz. What is the best pre-treater that you have used?

My youngest ds is very hard on his clothes and I have to pre-treat. Looking for any and all suggestions!

I use Stain Stick, the actual stick formula. It works wonders! I even wash all her clothes on cold water and it still gets the stains out. When she has really bad stains, I use the Tide Kick with Tide Deep Clean formula (I use this detergent for all our clothes). Let me give you an example. She was with her father one night and ate spaghetti without a bib! Of course, her WHITE shirt looked ruined. I covered it with the stain stick and used the Tide Kick, washed in cold water and it came completely out! Unbelievable, I know, but I would swear by this stuff! Hope that helps.

I use SprayNWash stain stick.

I use it as soon as the stain happens(if possible!) and then wash it whenever I want. The stick seems to keep the stain from being set in and never leave any residue.

I use it on the underarms of all my DH's white dress shirt every time I wash them. It prevents stains from forming from deoderant. He had a couple of shirt that I experimented on. One got stain stick with every wash and the other didn't. The one without had pit stains and the other doesn't! Well worth using the stain stick, in my opinion!

I found that with 3 kids using grime eater is the best solution. If it is a really heavy stain such as grass or blood I spray it, let it sit for a few minutes and then use shout gel stick with the bristles and rub it in completely before washing the item. Hope this is helpful

laundry pretreaters

Use the bar soap, Fels Naptha to pretreat clothes. You need to wet the area, and rub in the soap. Let it sit for a while and then launder as usual. Check garment before drying, sometimes you need to do it a couple times for bad stains.

I would also have to agree with the suggestion for using Melaleuca products. I use them faithfully around here and they do work like a charm!

The laundry products are fabulous (cleaning and economically speaking!)! I also like the vitamins, body satin, bubble bath (when there's time ) and the melaleuca oil. I find that when I get a cut it heals so much faster by putting some of this on. The kids like to put the triple antibiotic ointment on their band-aids when they get a cut but we don't get vita bears in Canada. I used to strictly use melaleuca and hope to go back to that again. Are you involved personally or do you get your products from someone else?

I just use the detergent that I use to wash with. I use Era, I buy it on sale and also the huge container with the spout. I also do not use the full amount suggested, I just don't seem to need to. I also use Oxyclean on the tough stains I put the Era on first then sprinkle on the pxyclean....if the whole garment is a mess I use a bucket and put water, Era and Oxyclean in the bucket with the garment(s) and let them soak overnight before washing.
