Anyone Spring Cleaning???

I am spending tomorrow doing my spring cleaning......cleaning the windows, the shutters, the fridge, the oven, wall smudges, etc...etc...
I have a couple books by authors, Alexandra Stoddard and Emilie Barnes...both on homemaking...I typically get them out and read them about this time every year...both motivate me to get some seasonal cleaning done!!
This year we are having an open house/picnic...NEXT weekend and THAT is my motivation to clean this spring!!!

Anyone else Spring Cleaning??

peace,train

I guess you could say I'm spring cleaning--I've been painting my creativity room a beautiful yellow. I've moved furniture from room to room. I've been going through my pack rat boxes and throwing things out. Plus it is grass mowing season here. It rains one day, the sun comes out the next, the grass then grow four inches overnight and I'm out mowing it. I do believe I deserve to lose some weight and build some muscle over this. I've planted my window boxes with white wave petunias and red geraniums and my purple iries are about to explode with color.

Im spring cleaning and preparing for the arrival of our baby all at the same time---this after just moving! I made a lot of headway while packing for the move so now its mostly unpacking and trying to stay ahead of the game.
I still have a big "to do" list but these days I find myself staring at the list more than doing anything on the list. Thats ok....Im finally accepting the fact that whoever wants to show up unannounced to see the baby, they will just have to look at my house the way it is!!

Julie, Your flowers sound beautiful!!

If I could tear myself away from hanging out on the Corner I would! I really need to get a handle on this so that I can get windows cleaned and floors scrubbed. My linen closet is about to explode too. I don't have that many linens so I think they're just jumbled in. It scares me to open it since I know I'm going to have to force it closed again. I also need to shampoo the family room carpet AGAIN. I need to get it done before the kids are out for the summer or I'll never get it done.
