My tiny lemon tree in the house has finally opened up one of it's blossoms. The scent is amazing! Can't wait until all the blossoms are open.

It is astounding how a little tree can blossom in the middle of winter. :0)

Blessings,
Dawn

Dawn-You are right about the aroma of the lemon blooms--all citrus. It is heavenly. DH juiced the last of the pomegranates last night. We will miss all the fruit! We have a "few" little trees and plants in the house for the winter, which lasts about 15 minutes here. LOL We have started avocado trees, plus a mango, and pineapple plants. I never realized pineapple plants get so huge! I have read that it takes about 5 years for them to produce.

Laura,

I have tried growing avocado before, but no success. How do you grow yours?

I have a baby gingko tree in the house, hope it survives, I never grew one of those before. We also have our raspberry plant in the house in a huge container until spring. Wait and see type thing with the raspberry plant.

Blessings,
Dawn

Dawn, I just went online to be sure which end goes up, and followed the directions. One took a LONG time to sprout, and sometimes they don't. When they do, put them in a pot and stick it outside if you can. We bring ours in for the winter. I hope you have luck with one!

Hmm, let me try this again. I posted, then edited, then lost it!

I sprout the avocados in water. I usually go online to check which end goes up, and just follow the directions. After it sprouts, it goes in a pot, then outside. Inside for the winter. I had one that took probably 2 months to sprout once. Good luck!

Thanks Laura for the info, I wish they didn't take so long to sprout.

Blessings,
Dawn
