LJsmom~Yeah, you just lay the towel loosely over the top of the pan and it does seem to keep the bread mixture from getting to be like stale bread. Gives it just the right texture. I have never used wax paper and will probably stick with her old fashioned ways cuz they always seem to work!!

Here's a tip she shared with me a while back (that I bet some of you already know about!) for storing celery. I buy it for tuna fish, meatloaf, homemade chicken noodle soup, etc.--but it just seemed to get limp before I could use it all up. So, she told me to wrap it in foil and that it would keep for a lot longer. Boy, was she right! I am still using some that I bought 2 weeks ago, and it is just as firm and fresh as they day I brought it home. Who woulda thunk it--something so easy could make such a difference!!

I've done the celery tip, the other thing that I've found is if your celery goes limp rinse it with really cold water, shake out and wrap in foil. It will stiffen right up.
