Are you giving out end-of-the-year gifts?

For my son's end-of-the-year gift to his teacher, we bought a book for her classroom. I wrote a letter to her, from my husband and me, thanking her for everything she has done with my son this year. He loves her and will really miss her. Im sure that even if we move, he will keep in touch with her.

Any other gifts being given?

I usually just give flowers cut from my garden, and a letter if the teacher has been memorable.
Now that dd1 is a "big kid" in Jr. high, she can't be bothered with gifts; I may make her take something to her homeroom teacher tho.

Bensmom, Here are some really good ideas.

Do they decorate bulletin boards for their classrooms? A gift card to a teacher's supply store or office store would be nice. Or you could make up a gift basket filled with decorations for the boards.

How about buying a teaching toy for the classroom?
