Stephanie, have you thought about maybe taking a class - either college or an adult ed class? Or perhaps joining a gym or doing some kind of volunteer work while your children are at school? It will get you out of the house and give you a chance to meet some new people. I know how hard it is to leave your children at school for the first time. They always seem to do just fine but we are the ones who have the hard time. I hope it goes well for you.

I was going to suggest the same things as the others. I remember being Adam's mommy or Bruce's wife. I never was DeBora. It is good to have your own identity. You can either do volunteer work, get a job, or start working on that college degree that you've always wanted to have. In fact, some courses that are required for all degrees, such as math, English, science, government, and so on, may be available online. It might be worth checking with an advisor at your local college. They also have tests that you can take for you to find out what careers that you'd be best suited for. Then, you'll discover lots of opportunities that are available to you.

Try to do something for you while the kids are at school. It does make life harder when all we are is the wife, the mom. We need to remember who we were before husband and children came into our lives.
Don't stay were you are tolerated, go where you are celebrated!

Hi Bubblemum
Living in another county is always difficult especially if the language is a barrier.
I'm glad you're feeling a bit better today.
When the kids are at school explore a little and maybe see if they are places you could visit with your hubby and kids, show them what you find.

Does the school need any volunteers? I found that that is always a good place to start and your kids are still near till you find other things to do.

Hang in there, chin up, and we'll be here to listen, they really are a great bunch of ladies here!

I'm glad that you are doing better. I knew that you would because you are such a strong person - The reason I know this is because you ARE with your husband in a different country which is a BIG support for him and you are taking care of your children which is the best job in the entire world - We as women all have moments where we just have to let loose & let ourselves go so that we can get up the next morning & start again, stronger than ever. Please know you are in my thoughts!!!
