Hi Betsey!

You did that perfectly - no one will ever know that this is your first forum!

Sit back and take care of those babies for now. When they are older, they won't need you as much and you'll have more time for yourself. Then you can pursue your own personal interestes.

I'm a homeschooling mom of five. My dh used to travel quite often, so I know what it's like to be a pseudo-single parent.

I look forward to getting to know you better!

Hello I as sor of new here I have been here before but never left any replys. I am a SAHM of one a 3 year old boy. Staying at home was an easy decision for me I had just finished college before DS was born and since I wasn't working staying at home with him was just right. Plus I would spend my days with my grandmother who was sick.
I will say that sometime it gets lonely especially since grandma is no longer with us.
I have been married for 7 happy years. We are planning on having more God willing

I have to say being a SAHM is a truly rewarding experience!! I was a single mom for the first 3 years of my now 8 year old son, and I didn't have the choice to stay home with him..and I missed out on a lot. I got married in 1998, and have been a SAHM ever since. I became a WAHM in Nov. 2000, and I only work when my kids are taking thier naps, with the exception of checking my email, and I also work for a couple of hours after they go to bed. I take my weekends off to spend with my family. I guess my point here is, you can still work at home and spend time with your family..

I would also like to get started in freelance writing. If anyone knows anything about this..please email me at [email protected] I have 2 business', so I don't have a whole lot of time to devote to this, but I would like to gradually work it into something I could do full time.

Have a great evening(morning??)
Kim

Welcome Rosi! You're going to love it here

Kim, I'll start a new thread about freelancing. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner about it - sometimes life gets in the way of things.

New here too

I introduced myself on the board just for that but, I think this is the place where I will fit in the most since I am a sahm. I have two girls - one preschooler and one in kindergarten. I love being home with them even though at times I find it very challenging! I've been married for almost 9 years and never thought I would be a sahm but, can't imagine doing it any other way. The girls and I are constantly doing crafts and projects together so I'm anxious to find ideas on that board as well.

This web-site looks so interesting and like lots of fun!

Rebecca

Hi Rebecca!

Glad you found this little Corner of the world! You will like it here! I've been here for three years now, myself. I've found other sites through the years, but they come and go. This one has been a permanent place in cyberspace. Amanda does a great job ... but don't tell her I said so ... wouldn't want her to get a big head or anything!
