Arizona Rocks with 21 Things to See & Do

Arizona Rocks in the exciting Northern Arizona towns of Page, Williams and Flagstaff. Travelers can enjoy museum browsing, active hikes in the historic towns or the spectacular country surrounding and connecting the communities. A tour of the area with overnight stays puts the Grand Canyon right in the middle of a very memorable vacation. Details are available on


1. Enjoy Spring in the Kaibab National Forest with it's lakes for fishing, trails for hiking, campgrounds, wildlife watching and enjoying the beautiful Ponderosa Pine Trees...It's nature at it's best.

2. Make New Four-Footed Friends at the Grand Canyon Deer Farm Petting Zoo. They offer different varieties of deer, pygmy goats, llamas, monkey, and miniature donkeys, and pea****s. Great family fun!

4. Ride The Grand Canyon Railway. Vintage train to Grand Canyon. Relive the romance of the Old West aboard fully restored 1923 Harriman coaches. The historic 1908 depot includes a museum, steam locomotive display, and a Wild West Show held daily.

5. Celebrate Rendezvous Days (Memorial Day Weekend) May 28-30th. Come celebrate the Williams' heritage. Activities include a black powder shoot, competitions, and 1800's crafts at Buckskinners Park.

6. Find Your Inner Cowboy at Williams’ newest attraction, the Old West Main Street Inn and Museum. Return to the 1890’s with a street scene including a museum, saloon, and general store.

7. “Cruise the Loop” on Historic Route 66. Spring is the perfect time to take a scenic and historic drive though William’s stretch of “the mother road” or go on two wheels and try the new biking trails that retrace old route 66.


8. Say Goodbye to Snow at the Snow Celebration, March 10 at the Willow Bend Environmental Education Center, Sawmill Park,. Bring the family for some fun in the snow. Take a snow walk, learn about crystals and make snowflakes, too. Call for more info (928) 779-1745

9. Get Cultured at First Fridays Art Walk. The first Friday of each month, artists in the Flagstaff’s Historic Downtown keep their doors open late for this new Flagstaff tradition. Whether browsing or buying, you’ll enjoy the welcoming atmosphere and array of art.

10. Go Fly a Kite. Soar into Spring at Foxglenn Park April 24. This community event features kite flying, kite making workshops, entertainment and vendors as well as benefiting the PR Scholarship Fund.

11. Celebrate Spring at Opening Day at The Arboretum. Welcome the arrival of spring by visiting the Arboretum on opening day. The Arboretum is located on Woody Mountain Rd. Call for more info on this free event at (928)774-1442

12. Start a Spring Garden. Learn how at the Healthy Gardening Fair, April 24, at The Arboretum in Flagstaff, on Woody Mountain Rd. Learn how to garden safely for optimum health benefits. The fair will have lectures, demonstrations and information booths on healthy gardening.

13. Join the Flagstaff Community, April 4, at the Grand Canyon Youth 4th Annual Art Auction & River Runners Film Series Fundraiser at the historic The Orpheum Theater, 15 W. Aspen, 4pm-9pm, $5, call for times and more info at (928) 556-1580. A fun filled event featuring a silent auction of local art, live music and food as well as great films about the river. All ages are welcome.

14. Get your Spring Read Signed at the 7th Annual Northern Arizona Book Festival, April 16-18, Downtown Flagstaff. 16. Catch a Fish, or let the pros do it, at the American Bass Tournament on May 15-16. Wahweap Marina is where the hunt begins.

15. Run for a Good Cause at the Relay for Life benefiting Cancer Research. May 22 and 23rd. Join in this community event at the Page High School Track.

17. Dance for Spring at the Coppelia Ballet and Dances in the Desert. What better time than Spring to enjoy the beauty and grace of ballet? May 20 – 22 at the Cultural Arts Building.

18. Take a Spring Hike. Hike Antelope Canyon or Canyon X. Enjoy the spring weather as you hike the stunning canyons of Page. Bring your camera and to try to capture the beauty of these natural wonders.

19. Learn to Wake Board. Spring means warm weather means water sports in Page.

Opportunities for all types of water based-activities are available on Lake Powell. Boat rentals are available for aquatic adventures.

20. Experience Navajo Culture at Navajo Village. See native crafts and artwork from local artisans. Take an opportunity to learn, experience, and gain a new perspective on Native American culture.

21. Have a Float. After all that activity in Northern Arizona, It’s time for a rest!! Enjoy a float trip from Glen Canyon Dam to Lee's Ferry, take in the sun, sandstone, and rocks, start thinking about your next Northern Arizona Adventure!
