Hi Jody, nice to meet you. We moved here in Feruary of this year and I remember seeing signs all over the place for the Strawberry festival. Maybe we can meet up this April and go together. You can show me around. Which hwy or road would I take to get there? I-410, I-90, I-35????? This is so cool.

I grew up in the Panhandle near Amarillo.
Hi Sharon, I just love the Riverwalk too. My two youngest daughters were amazed when we took them there for the first time. This is nice to chat with fellow Texans.

Thumbs up Jarabeel's website

Jarabeel,
By the way, just wanted to say that your website looks great.
Do you do all the lamps yourself?

jorabeel,

To get to Poteet you would take Hwy 16 S. I don't know what part of San Antonio you are on so I don't know which way would be best to get here. I would say either 35 S or 410 S. or even 1604 We are about 20 Miles S of 410 or about 12 miles S of 1604. I would love to meet you for the Strawberry Festival. I was raised in San Antonio. I lived there most of my life but moved to Poteet 7 yrs ago. I love the small town life. I don't have to worry about gangs ( I have 3 girls) I was really worried about that. Anyone else want to meet for the Strawberry Festival let me know.

I'm from Corpus Christi.

This thread looks slow. Y'all too busy to chat? I'll pop in later. Hope y'all are doing well.

Actually, I am too busy to chat with finals coming up. lol

My primary address right now is Carlsbad, NM and I go to school in Las Cruces, NM. However, I was born and raised in Texas. I was born in Odessa and was raised between Iraan, TX (find THAT on a map lol) and Hobbs, NM, which is on the TX/NM border. I am going to applying to graduate schools in Texas soon, so I am hoping that I will be living in Texas by this time next year. Wish me luck.

Btw, Shelley. Do you recognize the man who is with me in my picture? He is from Corpus.

Sorry I can't say that I do. I was born in Texas but I lived all over the USA. My dad worked power plant shut downs for many years as a pipe fitter. We moved around a lot. Almost every time he was between jobs we moved back to Texas. We'd live with family if our house was rented out. I could have gone to school with him. But I'm not sure. Most of my family are still in Texas. I miss my family.

TTFN, Shelley
