1. when I finally got my threads onto a wall organizer (Wal Mart with the little wooden posts) I was able to feel organized
buy more of those little posted organizers than you need, thread spools have a way of multiplying
2. hang a corkboard next to the threads so you can post pattern instructions, needle choice charts, and from the bottom of it I hang my many specialty pairs of scissors, all within easy reach of my sewing machine
3. clamp a lighted magnifier mirror to your left, one of those on the folded arm is great because it can be swung up and out of the way when you are not using it
4. be sure to plug your machine into a power surge strip
