Macaroni - Cheese Soup

1 -10 oz pkg frozen mixed vegetables
1 - 7 1/4 oz. pkg. macaroni and cheese dinner mix
1/4 cup margarine
3 tbsp all purpose flour
2 - 13 3/4 oz cans chicken broth
1 cup beer
1 1/2 cups diced fully cooked ham

Thaw the vegetables in a colander under running hot water. In a large pan cook the macaroni from the dinner mix in boiling water till tender. Drain and set aside. In another pan melt the margarine and blend in the flour and the cheese sauce packet from the dinner mix. Gradually stir in the chicken broth and beer, Add thawed vegetables and the ham,. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly. Stir in the cooked macaroni. Makes 6 servings
