Hamburger & Cabbage Soup in the Crock Pot

RobertaD originally posted this recipe in What's for Dinner March 2010

Hamburger & Cabbage Soup – Crock Pot
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 medium yellow onion, diced
1 cup carrots, chopped
1 cup celery, diced
1 cup cabbage, shredded
1 small can (6 oz) tomato paste
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
3 cups beef broth

Brown the ground beef first. Add all the ingredients to the crock pot and stir gently to combine. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 9 hours. You can also speed this up by cooking on HIGH for 3 or 4 hours.

Life is enriched by aspiration and effort, rather than by acquisition and accumulation.”
