German Cabbage Soup

German Cabbage Soup.

1 (460z) can V8 juice
1 env. Lipton Recipe Secrets dry onion soup mix
1 beef bouillon cube
1 tsp sugar
1 lb lean ground beef
1-1/2 C chopped cabbage
1-1/2 C chopped celery
1 small onion, chopped
Pour V8 juic into a slow cooker, add onion soup mix , bouillion cube and sugar. Stir well.
Brown ground beef in skillet in small amount of oil, crumble and drain meat. Add beef, cabbage, celery and onion to mixture in slow cooker, stir until well mixed. Cook at med for 5 hours.

Good with buttered toasted rye bread.

I will be making this for myself as no one in my household will even touch cabbage. But he don't know what he's missing. Thanks for posting.
Don't go back for less just because you're too impatient to wait for the best.

SAndy, same here, I think dh might eat it, but it has all the ingredients so cherished in this cold weather!

if using Bison would be okay?

My DH likes Bison and I have have used it in any recipe that calls for ground beef, so I can't imagine it wouldn't work well in this recipe!
