Mircowave Popcorn

I saw a segment of Typical MaryEllen on HGTV yesterday. She was making popcorn in the microwave using a brown paper lunch bag and some popcorn. She folded down the top and put it in the microwave for 2 - 2 1/2 minutes and wa la, she had popcorn. I did not know you could do this. It has got to be alot cheaper than those premade bags and no oil! Next time I go to the store I'm gonna buy a bag of corn and try it. Has anyone else done this?

Wow! I didn't know you could do that either. I'm definately going to try that! Much cheaper way and then you can add your own butter and salt!

Thanks for the great idea!

It worked and you can reuse the bag!!! Next time I'm going to try soaking the kernels in salt water then putting them in the bag to pop--I read on fatfree.com that that would make it presalted. Worth a try.
