EVERY day, I use noxema, (not in a pump). Not just as a cleanser, but also as a moisturizer. I wash with noxema, then I use tiny dabs and rub it into my face. Then I apply make-up as usual. This seems to make it easier to remove my makeup at night. (Really important to remove make-up at night) To remove makeup I again wash my face with regular noxema. I also use store brands of the same stuff - Wal-Mart had an Equate brand of the stuff.

Hope this info helps.

I also use a facial mask that peels off from avon (doesn't always carry it in the book, ask your avon lady) but you might be able to find a similar peel-off mask at a store, or Mary Kay or ?????

My face has seemed less oily since starting this 4 years ago.

Wish you the best!

Ponds also has a great cleanser in a pump bottle. The type that comes out in a foam. My dd and I use it. It makes our face feel silky clean, but doesn't dry it out.!!

I have combination skin and really like Neutrogena's Clean formula. The best part is that WalMart's brand, Equate is exactly the same thing at almost 1/2 the price.

blushing Help! oily skin problem

I have very oily skin. I have not been able to find any thing over the counter that can help with this problem. If there is anyone out there that suffers from oily skin maybe just maybe you could help me out. I would be very grateful.

I have been using the Walmart Equate facial cloths for months now. They work great, and they are alot CHEAPER!!!

I just happened to read over this thread and thought I'd put in my two cents.

I think the most important thing to do for an Oily face is to cleanse, whatever brand you can afford, and then follow up with a toner, (astringent). The secret is to cleanse your face first thing in the morning, and the last thing at night.

I used to sell Mary hasn't everyboday at one time?

I have some products I can send you,(No Charge) leftover stock, not used and if you can reimburse me for the postage with postcards from your area..that would be great...or $.37 stamps..I go through alot.

Pm me if you are interested.

I tried them all: Olay, Mary Kay, Almay, Store Brands, Neutrogena,Noxema, everything!!! Nothing worked or worse, I was allergic to it!

What I found that works for me and what I have used for the past 24 years is Clinique. It is expensive for the initial outlay, but it lasts so long you don't need to replenish it often. Also, if you wait until there is a sale, you get a free gift. I try to always wait until there is a free gift available that way I seem to get something I need anyway. LOL

I believe my initial outlay was about $50 or 60. You may be able to get it cheaper as I have noticed they sell what I bought in a kit now. (I bought soap (break it in half to make it last longer: use 1/2 now and put the other half in a plastic baggie), astringent, and moisturizer). Of course since then, I have added to my collection. I have to be so careful since I seem to be allergic to so many of the makeups and colognes now. Even my favorite cologne that I could wear and have worn for years, makes me itch, sneeze and my eyes water.
