Facebook has taken over. I see many of our members posting there and some post many times a day and upload photos. How do you compete with FB??
We have expanded the forum with a section for prepping for emergency or disasters. We have added new threads to others. We have tried various clubs. We have added new games.

Neither Debbie nor I have the tools to update FC with new articles. We have let IB know that.

Without the newsletter there is no way to let all members know if we would come up with something else to try. There are only a handful of members who go to FC's FB page.

I have FB too and go there daily but usually only my page though I get a lot of info. sent there from my friends. I always come here daily too, usually 4 or 5 times a day.

I hope we can get the Newsletter back up and running.

I, too, hope the newsletter comes back. I miss it. I do go on fb to keep in touch with my children and other family members but still love FC. FC is much more intimate than the random postings on FB. I miss keeping up with everyone here.

Facebook is not the same as FC! It is more personal since we know who we are posting to and they know us. We share our lives, likes & feelings. Have found many old friends that I grew up with over sixty years ago. Have seen photos of their children & grandchildren growing up. Keep in touch with distant cousins & their children too. Since I use Skype too my days and nights are kept busy using a computer.

Most don't post they just lurk reading and enjoying FC. Hard to fit in to groups already started. With the newsletter you were encouraged to add different subjects to keep people interested to come back for more. Hopefully it will come back soon!

Are we still collecting the Awards or how is that working for now?

I too have an FB account. But don't use it much.

A question I have not thought about, will check with Sharon. Even if we are collecting them there is no way at this time without the newsletter to let anyone know they have gotten one (that I know of ), other than the individual person could possibly still get a PM on FC, but not sure about any of that.

Yes, we are still giving awards. Was waiting to get the go ahead for the newsletter. I will give them out and put a post in the announcement threads who won an award. You will get the PM letting you know got one.

Thanks Sharon! If I notice anything for the awards do you want me to still send them to you in an email?

ibtyen (Tyson) Tried to help me with getting awards. But she didn't take off the 5 IWON's or the 5 Crowns. I also need a couple craft club and a book club award.
