Brussels Sprouts with Walnuts

ellenmelon originally posted this recipe in What’s for Dinner November 2006:
Brussels Sprouts with Walnuts
Cut off the stalky end and make an X cut into the base of the sprout. Also peel off any ugly outer leaves.

Drizzle oil in baking pan, Walnut Oil is very good if you have it.

Toss sprouts in the oil.

Add 1 cup of cranberries, dried or fresh or frozen.

Drizzle all with honey and then with maple syrup.

Slow roast in oven, 350F for 40 minutes, uncovered, tossing every 15 minutes so all is evenly coated. The sugars will be sort of goopy but not burnt in the pan.

Put into serving dish and top with 1/2 cup or so of walnuts.
