"LIKE" Lipton dry onion soup mix
3/4 cup minced onion
1/3 cup beef bouillon
4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp crushed celery seed

Mix together all of the ingredients. Store in an air-tight container
5 tablespoons of this mix is equal to 1 (1.25-oz) package

I like it because it is so much cheaper to make than buy those packets. Hope you like it too!

Thanks, that looks like the kind of thing I will really like. I have been buying several off-brands that are good, but I will know for sure what is in this. Norma

cat lover, for the minced onion, dried right? did you self dry them and then minced to suit the recipe, or mince then dried and if yes, how did you keep the pieces from falling through the mesh liner of the dehydrator? we've got some onions that bolted and will be pulling them to dry them so any and all advice on this is welcome

I use the dried, I have a long ago "dried" my own. I lined my dehydrator trays with fine mesh I bought at the hardware store just for the dehydrator.
