Oven Fried Fish

cat lover originally posted this recipe in What's for Dinner November 2009

Oven Fried Fish

2 lbs fish fillets
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 cup skim milk
2 drops hot pepper sauce
1 tsp fresh garlic, inced
14 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/2 cup cornflakes, crumbled fine
1 tsp olive oil

Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Wipe fillets with lemon juice. Combine milk, hot pepper sauce, and garlic. Combine pepper and onion powder with cornflake crumbs and put on a plate. Let fillets sit briefly in milk. Remove and coat fillets on both sides with with seasoned crumbs. Let stand breifly till coating sticks well to each side of fish. Arrange on a shallow baking dish that has been wiped with the 1 tsp olive oil. Bake 20 minutes on the middle rack without turning. Cut into six pieces and serve. Makes 6 servings

Happymomof4 has given this recipe a blue ribbon.

Congrats cat lover! I will have to try this but without the hot sauce.

Thank you Charlotte for being a recipe tester and testing this recipe.

Congrats! I'd like to try it, but I'm the only one that will eat fish at this house! I may try it & freeze the extra portions.
