Shrimp in White Wine Sauce

as posted by Jeannie in the April What's for Dinner? thread.

Shrimp in White Wine Sauce

1 lb of shelled and deveined raw shrimp, rinsed and dry
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons good quality extra virgin Olive Oil.. (Colavita is a good one in the supermarket)
2-3 cloves of garlic, smashed
salt
4 oz white wine, chablis, chenin blanc or chardonnay
red pepper flakes
fresh chopped parsley
fresh hot Italian or french bread

In a frying pan over medium low heat, melt the butter.
Add the garlic and cook about 1 minute.
Over med-med high heat, add the shrimp and toss and cook until pink.
Add the wine, raise the heat for about 2 minutes, stirring the shrimp. Lower heat and cook 2 minutes, add the red pepper flakes to taste and the parsley. Toss for 20 seconds and serve in hot bowls with hot Italian bread....or lightly toasted Italian bread.

This does not take very long to cook..... served as an entree, it will serve 2......
