grandson & sharing

My grandson is now in scouts. When I was getting rid of things, there was a camping log that was with my husband and son on thier first camping trip with a new troop back in the 90's.
My son didn't care to have it for he really didn"T have a place for it, and John is no longer alive to enjoy it.
I showed it to my gson cubmaster and he liked it, so I told him I would be honor if he would take it. He did, and my grandson Johnathan was one of the fist to lit it.
I wished I could of been there to see him, but I had already promised to be at a school fuction for Hanna.
I did tell him I would like to make it another time, like maybe the blue and gold.
The cubmaster told me when I showed up he would get me to lit it as well.
He told the story of how it came to their pack and the history of the log.
I haven"t download the picture of him with the log yet of my gson liting it but here is a pic of just the log

That is really interesting! Do you know if the log is still in use in the pack?
