Servuce Unit Projects for Leaders

I received in the mail yesterday an invitation to a Mother Daughter tea. It is going to be held at a Banquet Hall. It sounds like fun to me something to do with my daughter one on one. Thats the whole reason i went into scouting. I was wondering what does your service unit do for activites for the leaders?
I am a 3rd year Junior Girl Scout Leader and have been a leader for 7 years.

Mom to 4

Dear Sueann,
Hi! I have been in Girl Scouts in Alaska now for 2yrs going on 3yrs and the last couple of years we have a mother/daughter tea at a very fancy tea restraunt. We do that for all the leaders,co-leaders, and cookie moms for we have ours at the end of the school year. I find being a Leader is very fun and it pleases me to share with other girls not only my daughter how much fun Girl Scouts can be. If you have any other idea for Service Unit Project let me know i like to see all the ideas there are out there for Juniors in Girl Scouts. Thanks
May you go in love and peace
JR & Jeanne

In our Service Unit here in Bensalem, Pennsylvaia we have a Leader Appreciation Luncheon, usually in May. It is not a Mother/Daughter event which is fine with me since I spend alot of time with my daughter. However, I would welcome a Mother/Daughter event being added to our SU. Perhaps I can plan one of those next year. Our SUM is getting a new philosophy on things. "Sounds great, plan it." This year I am trying to plan a summer activity which will be used for recruitment. I hope it is successful since it will be the first event that I will pretty much plan on my own.
