Spiritual Gifts Test

here is a very neat thread to take a test to see where you spiritual gifts lies.

Take the Bible Spiritual Gifts Test
http://www.christianet.com/bible/spiritualgiftstest.htm

these are my areas.... as the test shows, to myself mmmm not sure.

89% Intercession 1 Timothy 2:1-2
78% Hospitality Acts 16:14-15
67% Mercy Luke 10:30-37

Intercession: This gift enables certain Christians to pray for others for extended periods of time with great positive effect for the building of the Kingdom of God.

Mercy: This gift enables certain Christians to feel exceptional empathy and compassion for those who are suffering so that they devote large amounts of time and energy to alleviate that suffering.

Hospitality: This gift is the special ability that enables the Christian to provide open arms, an open house and warm welcome for those in need of friendship, a warm welcome, food or lodging.

Bible Spiritual Gifts Results

God imparts spiritual gifts to believers through his Holy Spirit to enable each believer to play a productive role in His Kingdom. A spiritual gift is a significant ability given to each believer to equip and move them to serve in unique ways to perpetuate the growth of the church.

Following are the top three results of your Spiritual Gifts Test:

Score Spiritual Gifts Scripture Reference

89% Mercy Luke 10:30-37
89% Exhortation Acts 11:23-24
89% Discernment Acts 5:3-6

These gifts exceed the normal ability level of an individual that may come through life experience or knowledge. In fact many refer to these gifts as a "supernatural ability" vs. "natural ability" that a person may posses.

Everyone has God-given talents, but He also bestows supernatural abilities to those believers who will give themselves over to His Spirit. These individuals are used for ministry in His Kingdom to help members of the body of Christ. They are also used to extend the church’s witness and ministry into the world.

How can they all be 89%. That seems strange.

Exhortation..100%
Healing 89%
Hospitatlity 78$

Dear Tasha, We ALL have spiritual gifts..........the secret is having someone in our lives, either an individual or a church family that can help you learn how to use them!!!!! Is there a small group, Sunday school or women's bible study at your church you can join? I am sure that would put you on the right path to discovering and using your gifts!!!

You are ministering to other women on the prayer thread and THAT is a beautful gift!!!!!

hugs,train

never think you don't have gifts, like Trainlady said, we all have gifts, some are stornger than in one area than someone else, but it GOD"S eyes we are all equal, this is why we are a body of Christ, and we need one another in that body...

our toes cannot do what our fingers does, and vice versa, we need both and we are all important,

Plus GOD use those gifts that we have, and can and has many times gives the gifts to us on short term... and others we have for long term...

YOU got gifts sweety...

YOUR prayes are very touchy on the prayer link, you are sharing with us about yourself, and being so open and honest... that is sweet.
don't give satan a little inch, for he take a mile...

many times we start with something small, and then it grows from there.
GOD waits many times to see if we use what HE gives us, then He will increase our bountries...

this is how I look and feel about it
so don't think you not importan for dear you are very important to the family of CHRIST, just like everyone else is too.

There are so many kinds of gifts too. there are even studies you can do on spiritual gifts too...of course the bible speaks of the gifts too.

Yeah, thank you for that Bar Bar, I know that I have spiritual gifts, but I do not know how to use them, or even really what they are for sure, but I also know that I attend a big church where I still know nobody and have a hard time really talking to people. Especially since dh won't go.

look at your library, but you best bet is to go to a christian book store and look at thiers first, then you know what to check out at your library to get the right kind of book. As there are books on spiritual gifts that will be helpful... I wish I could remember some of the ones I've looked at and study in the best...

if I remember them I let you know.

I pray that your dh will go with you to church, but don't lose your faith dear... many women are in your shoes, as you are very aware of..... just hang in there dear.

Yeah, the thing is dh had just become a Christian when I met him 6 years ago, and we used to go to church, and at the time we went to a charismatic church and he would just be so excited and we used to pray together all of the time, and our friends had a wonderful bible study and it was just awesome, we were all so filled with a joy and excitement for God. And I hadn't had that in a long time (if ever, I was just a Christian because I was raised Lutheran and assumed it was right) anywho, the bible study started getting too hard to do because we had so many small children and we were all too poor for child care, and some of us moved away... it just fizzled out, then we started to feel that the church we were attending was too commercialized, too "scripted" if you will, and that much of it was for show. So we started going to a new church (when I could get dh to go) and now he just doesn't feel like he is in the right place with himself and with God. Which is obviously the exact reason why he should be going but whatever. And I really feel like he does still have this huge passion for God, but we can't find the right church, the right fellowship and the motivation to work on it. I find it VERY hard to get to church every sunday, I just know that if I don't I may give up completely, so I go. I do think that dh will eventually get back to it, but I have learned that pushing the issue is the WORST thing I could do.
We could really use prayer as to what we are supposed to do, and where we should be. And just that we would open ourselves up to God's will.

tash, you are so open with yourself, and that is so precious...
it shows a simple, truthful part of who you are.

I pray that things will work out for both of you, and don't forget to ask for these kinds of request over at prayer chain, or give them this link to read your prayer request ....

a church is very important to be with other brother/sisters in Christ, but Prasie GOD it won't just get us to heaven.. it requires more as you know....

again keep your faithfullness and GOD will bless you dear...
and at least you know he is a christian....

you are a access to our group, and don't you forget it.

Interesting test. My scores were 78% each on Intercession, Healing, and Faith. I wasn't too surprised about the Intercession and the Faith, but the Healing raised an eyebrow, lol. It's certainly not from laying on of hands, strictly prayer...the intercession.
