Are you choosey about your peanut butter?

It used to be that I would only eat Jif p-nut butter but my, how things have changed, LOL!! I now look at what is on sale and make my choice from there.

How 'bout you........are there only specific brands of certain items that you will eat?

I grew up eating what ever mom decided to buy. I started my marriage the same way - buying what ever. However, my dh (we've been married 20 years now) will only eat Peter Pan so that is the only kind I buy now. I'd really like to grind my own sometimes but I'm not sure if my blender will hold up to it.

I like Jif Peanut Butter. It's what I gave my kids. I don't know what #2 DD uses, but #1 DD uses Jif crunchy while I like smooth. Her kids like it though. I think my DS prefers beer instead! Only kiddin', he may still eat peanut butter. I almost lived off of that and cheese besides other real small meals when I was in my 20's and 30's and had hypoglycemia. It's been so long I think I forgot to spell it! But Jif got me thru it! Whata peanut butter!!
As Annette used to say, "CHOOSY MOTHERS CHOOSE JIF PEANUT BUTTER!"

We hardly ever have peanut butter in the house anymore. We like almond butter better. It's a little more expensive, but we love the taste better - and sometimes get smooth and sometimes get chunky!

I prefer Skippy, creamy, while my son loves crunchy. We alternate between the 2 unless it's Christmas and I'm in baking mode. I'll eat most any of them, though.

Peanut butter is always around here, in our office. We keep a large jar here and there's alway crackers and bread for those hectic days you can't get out of the office for lunch. The boss buys it for us when we do a Sam's run for office supplies. It's an office staple, I swear it!

When I was a kid, we only ate Skippy. But with all the peanut butter we go through in our house, I buy whatever's on sale--Skippy, Jif, Reese's, Peter Pan. I also buy the generic or store-brand for peanut butter and monster cookies. I buy creamy for the kids and chunky for the adults.

After all of the experimenting, Im going back to JIF. I just bought a jar of Skippy that was on sale but to me, it seems too grainy. I like the smooth, really nutty taste of JIF.....haha, sounds like a commercial

But this splurge will probably only last until the baby is born and then it'll be right back to the cheap stuff since DS doesnt care and DH wont eat it anyway. ;-)

How interesting. Yes I only eat Kraft crunchy. When I first came to Australia my kids were still living at home and we couldn't find a peanut butter that tasted at all like the peanut butter we were used to in the states. But after going without for a few years Kraft finally came onto the shelves and I buy that only not so ofter now the kids have grown up and left home. But I was always willing to pay the price and it was a bit more expensive even thought it is made in Australia.

My mother has a button jar that is donkey's yeas old and it is a Jif peanut butter jar.

Have a good day every one. It is night time here.

Jif is the brand we use here...no one wants to change or even try any other brand. Bad thing is Jif hardly ever has any coupons. I do buy the cheapest peanut butter when I am making suet balls for the birds...they love it!
