Have you gotten any new restaurants where you live? We recently got one called the Big Bear Diner but we havn't tried it yet.
We also got a Freddys custard. I love the custard but the burgers were just OK. My fav place to get a burger is still at our Woolworths counter! (Our WW building is an antique store and the soda fountain sells burgers AND THE BEST CHERRY PECAN MILKSHAKES IN TOWN!!!

When I started this thread ten years ago I was eating a lot of basque food, which is very common here in Bakersfield. I havn't been to Woolgrowers in a long while though. Seems we get on food kicks for awhile....

I am so glad a Panera Breads opened here a few years back. I love their sandwiches, bagels and salads.
