With cooler weather setting in I find that I use my crock pot a lot. We also love soups and chili.

Once in a while I will make a casserole but we don't seem to eat a lot of them.

My DH isn't fond of "casseroles" but I do make some skillet meals that he likes. He's a meat & potatoe man, who thinks soups are for lunch with a sandwich.

I make a lot more soups and stews. It also seems like I make more bean dishes. My DH doesn't like casseroles either, but once in a while he just has to eat them because me and dd's love them.

I like to mix it up! Probably casseroles are the thing we eat the least. My kids aren't too into casseroles, though they will eat all the PIECES of one.

I did find myself planning more "cool weather comfort foods" for the upcoming weeks, including Chicken & Dumplings, Tami's Enchilada Soup, pot roast, and other things of that sort.

Happy face

Mostly I do a mixture of things.. it depends on the meal. I like one pot meals since they are easier to fix, but I do casseroles, soups, pot roasts & baked dishes too.

For just two people cook smaller portions.. Like roasts now that it will be getting cooler to use the oven.

Roasting chicken are always a family favorite. I make soups all year round since they are healthy and cheaper than canned. Freezing leftovers helps with making another meal. Looking forward to eating turkey.
Eat vegetables all year long.

I make soups all year long but don't use the oven much in summer. I love to make pot roast and meat loaf too. You can cook pot roast on the stove top too. And meat loaf in an electric skillet.

I like making meat loaf too and sometimes in summer time do it in Microwave to keep from heating oven. I have a friend who makes it in crockpot but have never tried that one.
I will take what I am served knowing someone out there is being served MUCH less
