Do you have a favorite cookbook that you turn to time & time again for recipes?

If you have cookbooks on your shelf, do you have one particular favorite that you keep going back to ...even though you have many to choose from?

What's the name of it?

Maybe, it's just the opposite.... you only own one cookbook because it holds all of your favorite recipes?

I've heard a lot of people say that even though they own several cookbooks, they always seem to find themselves going back to one or two tried and true cookbooks. Is it this way for you?

Let's share secrets!

I have one that I use all the time for meals which is 1001 meal for the family and I have a be-ro book that I use all the time for baking. I totally rely on those. I do own quite a few other books that I do use, but not so often

Take time to recharge your batteries. It's hard to see where you're going when your lights are dim.

Good question. I have several and right now other than one of my Betty Crocker ones can not think of the other names. But they are the kind put out by churches etc.
Unfortunately I am not able to get in kitchen and do all the cooking I use to do. Because of lower back driving me nuts. But I still get in there and do what I can
I will take what I am served knowing someone out there is being served MUCH less

I have about ten cookbooks I use all the time. I am making a family cookbook with all our favorites. That one we really use.

I collect cookbooks so have many.

I do rely on a Betty Crocker cookbook that I have had a long time.
I have also put together a binder with FC recipes and recipes from Alicias and Annies.

I have been printing a LOT of recipes fro FC as well as ones sent to me from other friends and I found otherwise online. I have a hole puncher and then put them in a special plastic drawer thing I have. Once I make it and if we like it then it goes into one of several binders I bought for them. If not they go in recycle or sometimes I snail them to ones I think might like them. I check these recipes almost every day not all of course.

I find myself always turning to the Joy of Cooking for many things to do with cooking......the other is a hand written book that I write all the recipes in from family or friends that I have tried and love....

I find when I'm stuck that I go back to my high school home economics text book for quick and fool proof ideas and recipes .... saying that I do have other recipe books that have my fave recipes .... or search the net if after someting specific I can't find elsewhere .........

I do like to ask Barbzy thoughts on occasion to!

I have several favorite cookbooks. Most of them are local, church type ones filled with local favorites--Yum Yum.
Betty Crocker is always a good one to go to especially for the basics. I have several favorite recipes including brownies that I make from that cookbook.
