What weird foods have you tried? Did you like or dislike it?

There's a thread here on FC where we've started out talking about fried pickles, then it went to deep fried candy bars...then to choc. covered sweet pickles. ROFL!!!

I thought that we could start a seperate thread about the strange things that we've tried.

For me, I've recently tried:

fried pickles -- like them!

deep fried cheesecake -- love it!!

deep fried mini Snickers, Milky Ways and Twix bars -- I made them at home. They were all good but my family ended up like the Twix bars the best. It's not something that I could all of time, for sure.

What strange foods have you tried?

Hmmm, I really can't think of a "strange" food at the moment, but I know somewhere in time I must have thought something I ate was weird! Will get back here when my "sometimers" goes away for awhile!

I like sour cream on pancakes! I LOVE muscles and oysters--cooked or raw.

I love fried green tomatoes, but that isn't strange around here. Other foods that I've had and liked are:

shark
munudo
mole (it has chocolate in it, but you wouldn't know it if you weren't told)
Wasabi
pickled pigs feet
Spam
Bean pie (it's Soul food and very good as a main dish)

I'm sure there's more as I am always being told that my tastes are weird.

It's been a few years since I've eaten them. I ate them because my dad ate them. Now I am hungry for fried green tomatoes. If I wasn't so lazy, I would call in an order and go get them, which would mean a trip to Midland to the soul food restaurant.

DeBora, my dad would love you. He loves pickled pigs feet. H eats all sorts of stuff.
The weirdest I've had is the choc covered sweet pickles, which were disgusting.
And choc ants, way back in jr. high. Honestly they tasted like choc covered raisins.

I will try just about anything once. I will not try bugs, no matter how they are cooked. I wouldn't eat dog, cat, or monkey, no matter how they are cooked. Other than that, I am willing to try anything.
