Cooking Clubs

Do you all belong to any cooking clubs?

Are you interested in them at all? What do you all think of cooking clubs where you can share ideas and talk to like minded cooks about everything that's out there?

I'm trying to guage interest in these and wondered what you all thought. Thanks.

Hi Reed! Where I used to work had a Gourmet Club. My one gf said she had to quit because she was lactose intolerant and the food was so full of dairy and butter she suffered for days!

I always wanted to do one of those Meal Prep clubs. Where five people get together and each make 5 of the same meal, freeze it, get together once a week, and then swap meals so the next week they have five homemade meals waiting for them to be cooked.

The one disadvantage to the internet is that we can't ship food to each other as fast as we can talk to each other!

I've never heard of the prep clubs, that sounds really fun.

I know some web-cooking clubs are popular,
but I wanted to hear some first hand opinions of them.

Thanks for the reply.

Isn't what we post here on FC like a cooking forum? I am a little confused what you mean by web based cooking club? How do they work, the ones you know about?

Yes, the cooking forum here is a bit like a cooking club. I was specifically speaking to places solely dedicated to cooking.

Just trying to gauge their popularity.

Reed, we do have a sister site: MomsMenu, that is a forum dedicated SOLELY to cooking.

All FC members are invited to join that site as well. You may use the same username but there is a separate registration process.

Thanks for the info. I will definitely check it out. Do you use the site?

If so, what do you like most about it?
