The chicken BLT salad from Wendy's is yummy! It comes with a honey mustard dressing, and I think the dressing is low-fat.

Wendy's fruit bowls are good too! It comes with a good poriton of fruit, as well as the yougart dipping sauce.

Good luck. My doctor has been telling me I need to eat healthier too..

Salads

We eat fast food alot. Work 9 hours a day. Running almost every evening. I love McDonalds, and Wendy's Salads. And I am not a salad person. Also now at wendys you can choose a side so often I will get a burger and salad or baked potato, much heathier than greasy fries.

I like the salads at Wendy's. I also love the taco salads at Taco Bell, but they probably aren't healthy. I have had people tell me that the fruit stuff at McDs are great, but I have never had one.

Personally, I think a salad at a fast food place or a salad bar is better for you than no salad at all.

I like Wendy's grilled chicken salad best, but in both Wendy's & McDonald's salads, I find bitter lettuce which I cannot stand! So I have to spend time picking out what I don't like. I would prefer to go to a salad bar for salads when I eat them. OR - I get the Wendy's ceasar side salad with fat free french dressing-- the romaine lettuce has more nutrition in it than iceberg lettuce.

If only they would not put in the so called "fancy" lettuces for color, etc -- they are just too bitter for me.

fast food salads

I prefer a mix of greens, I like the fancy ones. But now that you mention it I don't remember seeing any fast food salads that don't have a least two kinds of lettuce in it for color/taste. Maybe you write or email one of them to see if they would add a plain salad to their healthy choices menu.
