Thanks Barb,
I got it in a funeral home, believe it or not.
On that one suggestion I made about using a notebook to keep track of things, I also write down which email address I am sending from. I use several sifferent ones, one is specifically for SS, but I've also sent from the one my girls use, LOL. I have become so sneaky,

another suggestion, do your very best in not signing your real name to the ecards or email you may send out.
If case you did, don't panic just the next month do another name.
I have done that! I wonder how many of us have done that? That would be a good post.

Barb, I will email you. I haven't said much because I feel like such a beesh, for lack of the real word. I have had so many problems with people and companies this summer, that I am feeling like all I do is complain. I really don't want to do that.

I don't know if they were even sent. I ended up changing companies so that I could make sure they were sent and opened.
I agree that this is were common courtesy should step in.

While everyone might not be able to make it to the boards every single day, PLEASE try to post a Thank you at least every other day.

It won't take but a minute if you save the link to the Thank You thread.

If you receive an email, just hit "reply" to at least let your SS know that you got her note and will write back to her when you get a few extra minutes, if you can't do it right then.

For those of us who don't have alternate email addresses set up --those of us that just use fake addys for our cards--we have absolutely no way of knowing if you are getting the cards if we don't hear from you.

Thank to everyone who takes these extra steps to make things run more smoothly!!

Great suggestions, ladies! Keep 'em coming!!

DeBora, take my suggestion of putting it in a notebook/journal. That way if you are busy with several things at once you can thank her later.

I must be a blond at heart as I would just forget where I saved the text file. lol It has really worked out well for me to go to the thank you thread at that time, while I remember it. Another trick that I do is to show the email as unopened so that I remember later that I didn't thank my SS.

SUGGESTION:
This is for those of us who like to ask other sisters to mail a snail mail out for us.
Go to the dollar store and pick up a box of cards. Get a couple stamps. When someone asks you to mail a snailmail for them you can just address it and send it right out. That way the one you are asking doesn't have to weait for it to arrive to her and then send it out from there.
EX-If I ask DeBora to send stuff for me, I'll ask her to send a card out. She does it and then I can return the favor for her. Or I can send her a stamp in return for the favor.
Saves time and a little money.

If you do this, then You, as the sender, wouldn't know what the card looks like or even personally have signed it. It sort of takes the "personal" message out of it for me.

Just a reminder to post in one of the threads when you get something. I don't expect to be thanked for every e-card but it would be nice to know if any go through, as well as snail-mail & package.
