simple songs

I'm looking for simple christian songs to teach preschoolers and kindergarden age children. I know the usual ones but I know there are some out there that other denominations have that are not in the Methodist ciriculumn. Of course they must be to familiar tunes. If they have hand or body motions, that is good too! They can be for holidays or anytime. Thank you for your help!

Christian Children's Songs

Cedarmont Kids have lots of great CDs for $5.98 each at Barnes & Noble (bn.com), e.g.: Action Bible Songs, Preschool Songs, Sunday School Songs, School Days Songs, etc. And, I think they still have free shipping on 2 or more items. I bought "Hymns", 16 classic hymns for children (lyrics included), and it's great.

Thank you for telling me about the cedarmont music. I'm concerned that small children would have a time singing with it, so I needed someone who has used it to tell me their success with it.

simple songs

Wee Sing has a good series with songs to go with just about everything. They have two specifically geared toward bible/christian songs for children. They come in either tape or cd format. Included is a book with all of the words and actions to the songs if there are any. Sorry, I'm not sure about the price. Hope this is helpful!

I got the B-I-B-L-E cd for my daughter and I can't stand it! I have several others that I like, the songs are a little older for her still, but ok to listen to. But that one just grates on my nerves! I feel bad because I know I should enjoy listening to the little children praising, but it sounds so phony to me.

My 2 yr old sings Jesus Loves Me all the time to me, (she's 2) so I think that any song that they hear enough and attempt to sing along with is pretty easy to pick up.

Oh, and I love Wee Sing. There are old ones by Sandi Patti that are fun too.
