Maternity Clothes--Where to Shop?

Where do you shop for them? Some places are really pricey I feel like, especially for something you won't wear for that long. I was looking at Ann Taylor Loft's site and they have some cute things on sale. There's a few tops for only $15, which isn't bad at all. Any other thoughts?

Second hand shops! That is what I did with my last child, especially since I knew he was going to be my absolute last child.

Also, check E-bay. Sometimes you can find deals for maternity clothing on there. This is especially a good idea if you are planning to have more children. I didn't do E-bay, due to the fact that like I said this was going to be my last child.

I also bought clothing that was not maternity clothing, just in a bigger size, in a style that DH would wear. I.E. sweat pants, big T-shirts, stretchy shorts. Which those items were o.k. for around the house, and sleeping.

When I was young, I always said I wanted to be someone...I guess I should have been more specific!

Try making some of the summer dresses that have the elastic at the tops and that have someextra material from the bottom of you bust area. You could just make tops too.

My sister did as Mom2-4 I believe.. she wore jogging pants and sweatshirts. She had a few maternity outfits from her first child he was a summer baby, her second was born in March so she was able to go with the jogging outfits.

I've seen a lot of cute maternity clothes in several of the GoodWill stores around here. Most of the clothes are in great shape because like you said, they haven't been worn for very long.

Also, check out Craig's List or Free Cycle/Cheap Cycle in your area! If you don't see anything, post a need for it.

Yard sales and Consignment sales are starting to pop up, too! Hit them early to see what you can find!

I bought a few nice outfits through JC Penney and bought several good outfits though second hand shops. I also had friends and family members who lent me clothing. I think my best investment, though, was a maternity bathing suit. I had a Dec. baby and a Sept. baby so that bathing suit got a lot of use in the summers.
