Fibroids and Pregnancy
Anyone else ever deal with having a fibroid and being pregnant?
I was told about a year ago that I have a fibroid, that was causing heavy bleeding, during my period. But, yet was not enough of a nusiance to do anything about.
Now, that I am pregnant, I was told that the fibroid would get bigger, which in the end of the first trimester/beging of the second trimester the fibroid showed up as a slight problem. My uterus felt much larger than should have been. I was sent for an ultrasound, which showed that yes, the fibroid was there and that was what was making me have this extra lump in my belly.
But, now I have another month to go. I asked the Dr. how big this baby is, and she could not answer me!! She is also unsure of the size of the fibroid. She asked me how big I think the baby is, and I could not answer her, because of the fact that I was told the fibroids grow. But, I have no clue how big the fibroid is, so, i can not guess how big the baby is.
I know I am more miserable with this pregnancy than with any of my other kids. Now, age is most likely a contributor to this. But, I can barely get my socks and shoes on, and I never had this problem before!!
Just thought I would try to get others input on this before I go for my ultrasound on Friday morning. I am a little concerned as my last child was soooo tiny, she was only 6lbs 11oz. And that was full term.
Oh, everyone that sees me, says you look like you are ready to pop, that is from ones that know me. Ones that don't know me, look at me and say Oh look you are going to go any day now!! I have another 4 weeks before my due date!
