When is "ready"?

I have to tell you that I started my life backwards so to speak. I had my first child when I was very young (one marriage) and had two more when I was young (second marriage). After much struggle both financially and emotionally my husband and I (still in that second marriage 10 years later) finally got on our feet and owned a succesfull construction company. When he was 27 (two years ago) he was diagnosed with cancer. Long story short- several surgeries and months of chemotherapy later he was in remission. Since then we have an 8 month old beautiful, healthy, "miracle" baby. (Docs said no more due to chemo. Guess we showed them! lol) We had to file backruptcy because my husband was unable to work during chemo and while I had a good job and insurance (thank God) I was unable to carry the load myself. Now we are back to where we were 10 years ago financially. I quite my job to be a stay at home Mom again and I'm loving it! Yes I don't have that house and those new cars but we have eachother and 4 beautiful children.
My point is can you ever truely be ready. Yes get yourself straight. Have a house and cars but everything doesn't have to be "perfect" if your heart tells you your ready. Thank God my husband and I didn't wait to have our children because there was a chance at one time we wouldn't have had any. We will work and things will come.
