Hi Barbar,
I was in Illinois before I came to see you but wish I could have gone to Indiana, too, to see my friends there!!

Yes, I have lived in so many places it is hard to keep track!!

Tomorrow is Becky's birthday and she feared she might be having her first chemo on her birthday. I am glad it is not until next week though so she can enjoy tomorrow!!

Hello everyone, I know that I have not posted for a few days, but I have been checking & praying for everyone.

Update went to see the fertility specialist yesterday & I have a lot of blood work to get done & will have a few more tests done too.

DH went to see his new neurosurgeon today, starting over with all the tests, MRI with & without contrast, nerve conduction study & EMG all his other tests were a year old or older. He is very frustrated about it but I figured that would happen. He had to switch when the state switched insurance companies. It takes forever to get in to see these docs.

Just checking in..Amber and Josh went to the hostipal last night contractions were 5 mins. apart..they put her on the baby moniter for a hour told her she wasnt dialted enough to stay to go home they were full. The nurse was really rude. I just talked to her and she is in pure misery no sleep for the past 24 hours and in severe pain. I told them to go back to that hostipal and raise a fuss!! The poor girl i feel so bad. They are at super k walking around trying to get the water to break and dialate more. Please say a prayer for that baby girl and her mom. Hugs kim
Friends are like windows through which you see out into the world and back into yourself... If you don't have friends you see much less than you otherwise might.

Discouraging week

My goodness, I joined in February and haven't been able to get back until today. My apologies, folks. I scanned through the past weeks' messages and lifted up prayers on behalf of all.

What a discouraging week it has been. Easter Sunday was really nice, but then my back (had surgery in Sept.'04, still having joint problems) started hurting and continued until today. From Sunday through today, there just hasn't been much good news. Terri Schiavo's death and all leading up to it was so disheartening and so very sad. Then I heard the Pope is near death, or has already died (haven't watched the news today), then I read where poultry magnate Frank Perdue died (he lived in the town where I grew up); he was our local celebrity in my home town. Then my mother told me that a dear, dear friend of our family has been diagnosed with anal cancer, a rare form of cancer. She's 79yo, and will have to undergo chemo. & radiation at the same time. This dear woman had breast cancer 2 years ago and had a mastectomy as a result. I would really appreciate any prayers on her behalf.

As for my back, I've been put on a different med., so praying it will help relieve the lower back pain I've dealt with for oh so long (about 4 years). If not, I'm looking at a 2nd surgery, which I do not want, obviously.

Well, enough discouragement from me. Really, I feel very blessed that I'm not dealing with more serious ailments as many are having to do; the Lord is good. He has promised to never give us more than we can bear, and we can bear much more than we believe we can!

I hope the next week will be a bright, sunny, true springtime week, and that all will have encouraging and uplifting news.

Oh, and to...was it LovedMom, with the hateful, nasty upstairs neighbors? When I was in my early 20's, I shared a top floor apt. with 3 college friends for a few months. The apt. below us was filled with males and their music instruments, which they played every night beginning around 11pm. They were right beneath my bedroom, and I could feel my pillow & bed vibrate from the bass. The apt. mgmt. told them to keep it down or get out, which as I recall, seemed to help. But it was a miserable experience, and my heart truly goes out to you, dear one. We'll keep praying for them to get quiet or move out!

blessings to all,
MD Gal

Thanks Terri60!

I just happened upon your post as I came in to check the thread.
The neighbors are still at it but I have been weathering it quite better than before. I am not as irate as I used to be with them. My emotions are under better control and the prayers are working really well. The only really bad thing about me ignoring them is that I have to wear earplugs every night and my left ear is rather sore and getting more sensitive inside like I might have a cut or something...please pray about that. Last night I was just asking God to please touch my ear and keep it from getting any worse and that this whole ordeal will be over soon so that I can celebrate the day I do not wear any earplugs to bed.

Thank you for your prayers and I will pray for your back and for better medication or whatever else can be done to ease your discomforts and pains and concerns for yourself and others.

God bless your heart Terri
