Crumbly Topping for Pumpkin Pie

Want a diffeent "topping" for that usual pumpkin pie? Use your favorite pumpkin pie recipe and then top it with this!

Coarsely chop 1/2 cup toasted pecans, 1 cup fresh cranberries and a 2.3 oz pack of amaretti cookies (you can use shortbread cookies if you can't find the amaretti cookies), in a food processor and sprinkle on top for a great crumble topping!

Here's another topping for a pumpkin pie!

2 cups all purpose flour
1/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
3/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup confectioners sugar

In a bowl combine flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar and cinnamon. Stir in butter till combined and most crumbs form. Press tablespoons of mixture together to form large crumbs and sprinkle over the pie. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or till the crumbs are lightly browned. Cool. In a small bowl combinr the confectioners sugar and 2 tsp water till smooth. Put into a plastic sandwich bag and snip a small hole in one corner and drizzle ove the crumbs.
