Big Grin Wendy's Mixed Berry Pie

Wendy's Mixed Berry Pie

2 1/4 cups flour
3/4 tsp. salt
2/3 cup shortening
10-14 TBSP. cold water
1 stick butter

In bowl stir flour and salt. Using a pastry blender cut in the shortening and the butter. Use 1 tablespoon of water at a time and add to the mixture stirring well. Stop with the water when u feel the mixture is moist enough for you. Divide into 2 balls and cover with plastic and refrigerate for 2 hours. Remove dough and roll out into desired thickness for bottom and top crust. Prick the bottom crust with a fork and bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and add ur filling then top with the other dough ball.

1 pint fresh blueberries
1 bag frozen mixed berries
1 can cherry pie filling
2 TBSP. lemon juice
1/4 cup sugar

Mix blueberries with lemon juice, sugar, and cherry pie filling for 5-7 minutes. Stir in frozen bag of mixed berries and slowly add the cornstarch until you have the desired consistency that you want. Bring to a boil for 15 minutes and pour mixture into shell. Place the top on pie and crimp the edges so nothing oozes out on you. Poke a few holes in the top crust and brush with egg whites and melted butter. Bake @ 350 for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Remove from oven and brush once again with the butter, whites, mixture and sprinkle 1 TBSP. sugar on top. Cool and enjoy!
