Location: I live in the foothills of Maine and near a major river. The area is quiet but we can be in a large city that has everything that you would want to visit. WE're two hours from Old Orchard Beach and it is so beautiful

Haley's grandmom's Zucchini Pie

You will fool everone with this!!!!

Zucchini pie
6 cups peeled, sliced, quatered and deseeded zucchini
1/2 cup lemon juice
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinn.
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Put the above ingredients in a saucepan . Bring to a boil then simmer for 15 min. Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 crumb mixture(recipe follows) and let cool.

2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup oleo (not spreads)
Mix together until crumbly and set aside 1/2 cup for cooked filling and 1/2 for the top of your pie .Put the crumb mixture iin a buttered pie plate and press onto sides and bottom of pan, Bake 375* for 15 min. Remove from oven and pour in the zucchini mixture and top with the remaining crumb mixture bake again at 375* for 30 min. remove and cool .

Sounds really interesting! Will have to try it.
Am guessing oleo is an oil?
