Egg custard pie

Egg custard pie


Ingredients:
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 cups milk 1 tsp. vanilla
Mix eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla together. Add milk. If you want it to cook quickly, add 1 tsp. of flour to mixture before the milk is added. Thoroughly mix and pour into uncooked pie shell. Bake the pie at 350 degrees until a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.

It was nice Patti.
I made my own shortcrust pastry for the pie shell, the custard mix took a while to thicken but turned out a nice consistency when done.
Sugar, way to much sugar, the recipe said 1 cup, I put in 3/4 and a 1/2 would have been sufficient, it was exceedingly sweet but over all I'd make it again with my sugar reduction.
