Pecan Pie

as posted by cat lover in the August 2004 What's for Dinner? thread

Pecan Pie

1 cup Karo dark corn syrup
3 eggs (or 6 egg whites)
1 cup sugar ( or sub splenda)
2 tbsp margarine
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp salt ( or no salt)
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 ("9) unbaked pastry shell

Mix together first 6 ingredients then stir in pecans
and pour into pastry shell. Bake at 400 degrees
for 15 minutes, then reduce to 350 degrees and
bake 30-35 minutes. Outer edge of filling should
be set and center slightly soft.

Enjoy!!
